What is a Mausoleum?

Mausoleums are an above- ground structure constructed to hold one or more caskets or urns. It is the perfect choice for people with an aversion to being buried in earth away from the high levels of water and outside elements that are a dominant part of Louisiana climate and environment.

The Pyramids of Giza in Egypt are among the oldest and largest mausoleums known to man. Examples of mausoleums include the world’s most photographed and famous the Taj Mahal, in Aga, Indi and the most recognized mausoleum in North America the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, at Arlington National Cemetery.
